Board of Directors Members of South-East Anatolian Cereals, Legumes, Oilseeds and Products Exporters Association chaired by Celal Kadooğlu visited Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül in his Office. While opinions were exchanged in the visit concerning exports from Gaziantep as well as the region in general, Governor Gül wished all the best and success to the newly elected Chairman Celal Kadooğlu and the board of director’s members.
South-East Anatolian Cereals, Legumes, Oilseeds and Products Exporters Association Chairman Celal Kadooğlu and Board of Directors Members visiting Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül in his Office, assessed the agenda and provided information about exports from Gaziantep and the region in general. In the course of the visit, Chairman Kadooğlu expressed in the visit that Turkey, as worldwide in general, is passing through an arduous process and further pointed out that food products are of particular essence for humanity and for healthy food production, fertile soils of Anatolia should be assessed in a correct manner. Noting also that Anatolia possesses an essential potential for agriculture, Chairman Kadooğlu pointed out that in parallel to the pandemics process the world’s top priority has become healthy food production and added that in seven distinct regions of Turkey, it could possibly be cultivated agricultural products of quality adequate to feed many countries worldwide, Giving information to Governor Gül about the export figures realized from Gaziantep as well as South-East Anatolian Region in general, Chairman Kadooğlu said “Gaziantep is so to say, gemstone of our country both in industrial production and exports. On the other hand, Gaziantep is like a port of the Middle East, expanding to the Mediterranean Sea. Our facilities of high production capacity and exports are the most essential indicators of the foregoing. Cereals and legumes sector is boasting of holding top position as the sector with highest exports amongst other exporters’ associations in the region. In 2021, we realized sector-based exports from our region to 175 different countries in the total amount of US Dollars 2 billion 952 million 537 thousand. Whereas in the period between January 1st – May 15th, 2022, we achieved an increase of 40% from our region as compared to the previous period, resulting in exports in the amount of US Dollars 1 billion 215 million 681 thousand”. While Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül expressed that he was very pleased with the visit and added they would be standing side-by-side with industrialists, investors and exporters providing substantial support to the nation’s economy.
