Visits To Gulf Countries Will Have A Great Contribution To Exports

Celal Kadooğlu, who was among the delegation during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, said that the visits would make a substantial contribution to the economy. Kadooğlu said, “We will introduce our products in more countries with these visits that will reflect positively on exports to Gulf countries.”

Celal Kadooğlu, President of the Southeastern Anatolia Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, who was among the delegation visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates on July 17-19, 2023 under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said: “The Middle East and Gulf Countries are the most important markets for all sectors of Turkey, and we believe that these visits will bring major advantages to our country.” Visits will contribute to the economy. Celal Kadooğlu stated that the visits were productive and that the Middle East countries are the most important markets for the cereals, pulses and products sector as well as for many other sectors and said, “I believe that the productive visits to the Gulf Countries under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will make very important contributions to our country’s economy. We participated in these important visits to the Gulf Countries together with Ahmet Tiryakioğlu, Chairman of the TIM (Turkish Exporters Assembly) Cereals Pulses Sector Board, and Mesut Acar, Member of the Board of DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye). We held mutual meetings with businessmen in the countries we visited and made contacts to increase our exports to the region.” President Celal Kadooğlu also pointed out that 791 million 692 thousand dollars of the 2 billion dollars worth of exports realized from our cereals sector to the Middle East countries from Türkiye in the first six months of 2023 was exported by the members of the Southeastern Anatolia Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association. “Within the framework of the visits carried out under the leadership of the President Recep Tayyip Erdogan; we have achieved an export of 34 million 260 thousand dollars to Saudi Arabia, 14 million 740 thousand dollars to the United Arab Emirates and 7 million 651 thousand dollars to Qatar. We are confident that our exports to these countries, which are among the most prominent countries of the Middle East, will increase exponentially after the visits. All sectors of our country realize significant exports to the Gulf countries and there will be positive returns to our country’s economy by means of new business connections and collaborations in line with the negotiations in the forthcoming period,” he concluded.
